Schon mehrfach haben der deutsche Schauspieler Matthias Brandt und sein kongeniales musikalisches Alterego, der Pianist und Komponist Jens Thomas, das Bad Homburger Festival-Publikum mit ihrem spannenden Wort & Musikcollagen in Atem gehalten. Nun kehren Sie mit ihrer Adaption der E.T.A. Hoffmann-Novelle „Die Bergwerke zu Falun“ zu uns zurück. Der Mix aus Nordischer Sage, dramatischer Liebesgeschichte und schwarzer Romantik, in der der junge Seefahrer Elis Fröbom in die geheimnisvolle unterirdische Bergwelt Schwedens gerät und sich zusehends in fantastischen Erlebnissen und Welten verliert: das ist, auch dank der Sprachkunst Brandts, in der jeder Nebensatz zur Hauptsache wird, magischer Realismus!
